Z= 3.08 axle ratio,Traction-lok differential...thats what the factory installed in the 95's with the Z code...thats not to say yours has not been changed...

Jack it up

Chalk mark the bottom of the tire and drive shaft

Spin em over and count the turns for your ratio

Works every time
and
Nuthin to it

I usually just pop the cover off, take the gears out and count the teeth.

You guys take the gears out?

Grady's ratio (DS revolutions : one tire revolution) method works just the same and is a whole lot easier.

I usually do jack the car up and turn the tire and count the driveshaft revolutions. I have not had time to do this yet. The car is totally stock, except for some flowmasters. I am looking for some tips on free mods.

look on the diff cover for a tag
it should look like
2 L 73= 2.73
3 L 08= 3.08
3 L 27= 3.27

if you plan on changing the fluid then take the cover off then count the gears, but its easier to count the DS vs. tire rotation just incase someone changed the gears,
its most likely 2.73 most cars got this gear set, but i really dont know the car
