I just put some cool blue bulbs in that I got from autozone and theres is no difference at all. I was hoping for a brighter light with a tint of blue. :notnice:

I put one bulb in and left the other stock to compare them and they look the same. My headlights are still original and very dulled so maybe thats why??

What are you using and post up a picture

silverstar ultra's from autozone. ill get a pic later when i get home of low an high beams. deff brighter then stock or the garbage cool blue bulbs. i dont have stock headlights, have the diamond clears but yea, pics in a couple hours.

im still not use to normal bulbs. i miss my HID's an will be getting them again, this time in 6000k instead of the 10000k i had. they looked way better in the girls prelude then a mustang..looked to ricey to me.

whatever you do, dont get normal silverstar's, they pop all the time. ultra's are brighter, better color, and are supposed to last longer. no problems so far with them an i have had em for about 6 months. had normal silverstars in my jeep an they one would pop every month = garbage!

HID 5000k's. sorry, no pics of them on the car and my car is torn apart right now.

Silverstar or nothing. I put them in every vehicle I own.

I have had the same regular Silverstars in my Ranger since 2004 and havent popped one yet. Popped about 3 of the Silverstar H3 fog light bulbs though.

Ran Silverstar Ultras in my 98 F150 and loved them

Go to AutoZone, pick up a pair of Silverstar Ultra 9004 and call it a day.

set of silverstars thats been in my car for about 3 years. never had a problem with them. when they go ill probably get the ultras, thinking about a set fer the wifes 01.

I had Silverstars in my GT.

I bought them in 2003 when i got the car and they were still in it when I traded it in last November 6 years later.

Now i have OEM HID's and it's great! :)

I've never understood the blue light thing. Blue tint I can deal with, but I seen some cars that the light is so blue it seems like you would see less.

+1

It's a gimmick. Tinting the bulbs blue is an HID wannabe thing. Silverstars are simply the regular Sylvania XtraVision bulbs (the ones in the purple box) with an added blue tint and an inflated price tag. There is no freakin' way you can ever convince me that passing light through a blue-tinted bulb makes it "brighter" than the same bulb without any tint. Painting blue on a bulb just creates a light FILTER which would diminish the actual light output. :notnice:

I've always run Sylvania XtraVisions (or equivalent) because they are actually a step up in actual brightness over stockers and they don't have the stupid blue faux-HID/rice tint.

Silverstars don't have a blue tint, they are very, very white.

Both vehicles in this pic have Silverstars, my 96 Ranger on the left with 9007 headlights and 55w H3 fogs, and my old 88 LX 2.3 Turbo on the right with older 9004's. It was slightly foggy that night and this was with an old camera.

The fog kinda takes away from the actual distance that the lights achieve, but they are not blue at all, very bright and white. More than XtraVisions.

Hold the bulbs up to the light sometime. They're tinted BLUE. And BLUE does not equal WHITE - it equals blue-tinted light, which LOOKS like an HID setup that is supposed to be true white light, but it's not REALLY "whiter." I'm amazed by how many people still buy into this hype. It even says on the box, "the LOOK of HID."

I don't argue that they aren't better than stock, because they are. Stock bulbs = poo. But they're nothing that special, and certainly not fancy enough to warrant the hefty price tag for those things.

the cool blue bulbs are garbage. I had a set come with some headlight housings i bought and I had to have the high beams on to really see anything at all. sure they looked kinda cool, but usable light just wasnt there.
