And right as I was typing that up, Pops beats me to the punch. I have about 500rwhp on my stock block, but I do it with nitrous which is totally different from a blower. I also spray it very infrequently.

just make sure you plan very well or you'll end up buying parts twice. to give you an idea of what you can do, my combo is with small eddy 1.90 performers. should be right around 500 now with the exhuast changes and smaller pulley i put on it since the last dyno

I run AFR 205's on my Fuel Injected (10.2:1) 410 Windsor and trap almost 120mph at the track. My brother runs the AFR 185comps on his 331 and makes 550rwhp on 10psi. I love AFR's and I think they're a very good choice. Recently though, I've been starting to wonder how well the car woulda ran with a set of TFS High Ports. But, to answer your question, I think most companies (AFR, Edelbrock and TFS) offer a head that you cant go wrong with. Most importatly, make sure you do a LOT of research in making sure that the heads, cam and intake all match one another in terms of specs and usage. That alone can be worth a LOT of power.

To look at this another way, you can make enough power to crack the stock block with a set of GT40 heads off of a cobra.

If it was my 331, and my money, I'd go with AFR 185s or Trick Flow Fast-as-Cast 190s. If you take away the power adder, these heads are still capable of supporting a serious street car.

And why not step up to a 347? More cubes, same money.
