What heads for nitrous

This qeustion is for one of my buddies. He wants to know is it safe to run aluiminum heads witt a 150-200 shot of nitrous or should he stay with cast iron heads?

Also which nitrous should he run on a small block dry or wet system. It's a carbed motor. Thanks for ya'll help.

Yes you can run a 200hp shot with aluiminum heads. This is the kit I used.

200 Shot on a stock block? thats pushing it isnt it? i mean just from reading up on things

i dont know i'm running a blown 347 i wont suck on the end of a bottle.

Oh I missed that. I did it for a short time. I have seen them last along time and I have seen them split on the first run.

I would run a wet kit. Much safer. Persoanlly I like the 150hp shot. It is no problem to run a 150hp shot on aluminum heads.

Aluminum heads will be better actually. Thicker decks and and better heat disipation. I didnt know that there was a dry shot kit made for carbs? Wet would be better in the long run any way. Maint thing is to make sure you have plenty of fuel for the hp you want to run. I used to always go up one size on my fuel jets from what the calculator said just to be a little safe. If you have a wideband, then you can further refine it.
