What hole is this!?!

I want to make sure my engine builder didn't forget a freeze/drain plug. This hole is next to the oil filter bung. It is not the engine mount hole. Is it just where a plug/bolt goes that holds a bracket/ground on the block? I might have a baggy labeled for it but I figured someone might know offhand.

Also, does it go into a water jacket/oil galley or anything?

Thanks

Yeah it is threaded. There is a similar one on the passenger side that a bracket gets stuck to. The more I think about it the more I think the neg. battery cable goes there.

should be a long hex shaped rod that goes there.

.....rod going in there. This thread has me so far in the gutter I can't stand myself

Edit: I guess to keep on topic, my 93 did not have the long hexagonal piece, but rather just a sender coming right off of the block. Just get a Sport Comp oil pressure gauge and a steel braided line and forget it. Don't use the nylon line that comes with the gauge....scary

I just snapped my sender in half trying to get it in. On closer inspection it looks like there is some petrified rtv on the threads halfway in and my tap&die kit doesn't have the right size to clean the threads...

I thought the machine shop would take care of these things. They charged me a lot too...
