well no pics as of right now but i think i can describe it enough so you can tell me what it is..... one end goes between the upper and lower intake from there it goes to the passenger side to a t where a electrical plug in is attached and then down by where the fuel lines come up... is this the pvc??

i was removing stuff in my engine bay and i was curious what this way and as soon as i touched it to move it alittle to see where it was heading it was so dry rotted it basically crumbled in my hand so how vital is this?? if its not a major thing how do i eliminate it??

if it's what i'm thinking, it connects to your charcoal cannister in the passenger fender. it's job is to release fuel vapor into the engine to get burned up at cruising speeds. some disconnect it and get gas smell others don't.

Yeah - gotta remove the inner fender liner to get to it.

I just replaced my hoses with some from the parts store.

358stroker ... that black box thing on the left is the thing i'm talking about. the one that goes under the harness and up into the engine compartment goes to the solenoid you have there. the other side of the solenoid goes to any vacuum source on the intake.

mine has been apart too long to remember exactly how the hoses go, but the main thing about that solenoid is that the other side goes to a vacuum source.

the other hose that goes by the shock goes, i think, to other emissions things, like the air injection sysem or somewhere like that.

Does anyone see an issue with taking the hose that goes to the emissions and splicing that into the other hose that goes to that cylinder and then to the intake??

Mine has the gas smell coming out of it..
