I have recently built a motor that consists of:

306 ci
Trickflow Twisted Wedge heads
Trickflow stage 1 cam
Trickflow 1.7 rockers
Trickflow Upper and Lower intake
Cold air
BBK headers
3500 stall
3:55 gears

What the problem is, is that the motor has no throttle responce and well I have kinda run out of some money so I figured I would just switch to carb. instead of fuel injection because I still would have to have injectors,Mass Air,
throttle body, bigger EGR and so on. So what do you think is a good intake and carb for this setup might be? My friend has a Victor JR. how are those.
And will there be a big difference in horsepower since I had only the upper and lower intake and not mass air, injectors and so on.I also have a holley 600 double pumper carb.

I agree. I believe that the Victor Jr. intake starts to build power at 3,500 rpms and keeps going all the way up to 8,500 rpms. That will pretty much not match too many street driven camshafts.

My combo builds power from 2,400 rpms to 6,400 rpms and I don't believe that I would even benefit from a Victor Jr., as my cam would be trying to make power before the intake could process it.

I'd also agree with the RPM intake.
