My friend is looking to make a Cobra clone, and any of you guys on here with a Cobra...or those who know. Could you tell me what needs to be bought to make the interior look authentic, and where I can get it? Thanks in advance guys!

Hi TX.

If memory serves, the '94 - '95 Cobras had the following 'upgrades' over the standard GT interior:

- 'COBRA' logo stitched into floor mats
- 'COBRA' logo on steering wheel airbag cover instead of the running horse
- White-face gauges with 'SVT' logo on tachometer
- The gear shift knob on the transmission was leather
- The gear shift lever's boot was leather
- The parking brake handle and boot were leather

I think that covers everything. I cannot remember if the front seatbacks had the Cobra logo stitched into them or not, I know the '03 - '04s did, but I don't think the earlier Cobras had the logo.

As far as where your friend can purchase these items, Performance Parts, Inc. probably carries most of the items. Their website is www.performancepartsinc.com. Another option would be Mustang Parts Specialties (www.stangparts.com) to see if they have any take-off parts from a wrecked Cobra.

I would imagine a lot of the stuff could be found through eBay as well.

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!! :nice:
