emmisions stuff (junk) removal

I have a 88 5.0 hatch in my garage that has EFI. I am wanting to ridd the car of everything except what is critical. Non-Emmissions car. I know that the sensors send output data to the EEC-IV, but which ones are required. The ones that i know are the mass air, Throttle position, Idle control, oxygen and MAP sensor.
Do I need any of the following: Thermactor air bypass & diverter, therm air valve, EGR regulator, HEGO Sensor,and EGR Valva position sensor?

No still can help me, I thought this was a tech area. C'ome on guys, at least one of you should be able to help me. There has to be at least one mechanic in the group, not just bolt on buddies.

Taking the emissions gear off isn't a good practice for street driven cars. Removal increases the likelihood of drivability issues and makes it illegal to resell the car (violation of Federal law). All the emissions equipment except the cats shuts off at WOT (wide open throttle), so it doesn't cost any HP on a street car. Some non-functional or missing emissions equipment can cause the engine to run in limp mode, which hurts performance.

If you are building a race track only car that isn't street driven, go ahead and remove the emissions equipment. You should plan on having a custom chip burned to clear any problems the computer may have with the emissions gear not being there and functional.

Find out what the computer does and how it works before you go yanking stuff off just because you heard somewhere that it hurts performance. You may have gotten some bad info...
