What is so special about Explorer Heads?

Are you going to deck the heads and get them a valve job, or just put 'em on and cross your fingers?

Haven't decided yet. I was actually looking around for pricing on the machnine work actually. I was also gonna hit them with the dremel first for some light cleaning up as well

I have to convert to MA first...so i won't be slapping them on anytime soon

I would go the tri-state cylinder head route, worked gt40p heads with upgraded springs and 5 angle valve job. The price is comparable with going the machine shop route. (disclaimer: I don't work for them.)
