There was a thread like this a while back, but I think it is time once again. What is that age of the 5.0 talk crowd? How long have you been in the game? How long have you owned a Mustang?

I'll start:

I'm 31. I have been into Mustangs since '93, so that's 15 straight. I have owned my Mustang since '97, so that's 10 years.

34 and always disliked "5.0s"....mainly due to the fact that EVERYBODY owned one in high school...all of them white GTs with 5-star hammer rims. Plus I HATED Ice Ice Baby, which was very popular as I was getting out of high school....that pretty much did it for me then.

Two years ago I bought my 88 coupe after realizing that the stigma for 5.0 owners from the 90s was gone....and was blown away by how easily and cheaply they could be made to go fast. So with some help of ebay, friends, and the local boneyards I build my 11 second daily driver.

All though I must admit, I am thinking strongly of selling it and buying a SN95 3.8 and converting it. Fox bodies are simply becoming too hard to find (good condition) parts for, and the little things are starting to drive me nuts. All the creaks and noises that a car that old makes, and stupid things like the corrosion on the tail lamp bulb sockets due to the non-sealed tails.

I'm 44, had my 88 since brand new and my 86 for the last 5 years. I wanted to buy a new 88 T-Bird Turbo coupe but couldn't afford it at the time. I bought the Mustang instead for 13K. Glad I was too poor for the t-bird, love the stang!:D

i'm 23, i've owned 5 stangs, and i've been into them since 02 so 5, runnin on 6 years now. i used to HATE mustangs, fox's specifically, because i saw them everywhere. they were even my #1 "dislike" on an assignment i had to do in highschool. hahaha. i grew up a big chevy guy; my first car was a 70 chevelle, when i was 17. got rid of it and got an 87 t top GT and the rest is history. it's crazy how the world works.
