pro 5.0 but since the shifter is bullet proof your next weak link is that t-5 but pro 5.0 all the way you couldnt miss third if you tried.

I personally use Pro 5.0 and have nothing but good things to say about it. It is absolutely amazing. From what I hear the Steeda Tri Ax is good as well.

I think I have a hurst in the GT, but not sure, but I installed the Streeda Tri-Ax in my LX. I've had it for about a year and absolutely love it. I'll prob. actually throw the Tri-Ax in the GT when I sell the LX. You prob. couldn't miss 3rd w/ the Tri-Ax either even if you tried. You'd prob. be happy w/ either the Pro 5.0 or the Steeda Tri-Ax, however, from my experience w/ these threads coming up at least once a month, most like the Tri-Ax handle better than the Pro 5.0...some even get a Pro 5.0 Shifter and just buy a Tri-Ax Handle for comfort.

BLUE66STANG----depends on how quick you can shift your current shifter. But if its as slow as mine was when i switched you may see .1 or better.

I've had both a Steeda Tri-ax and currently have a Pro 5.0. I had some problems with the Steeda. Snapped 2 handles off. The first one was the origional handle that Steeda had problems with but the second was their new forged aluminum handle. They did replace it for free though. The Pro 5.0 is better in my opinion. The offset shift spring is tighter and it has a steel handle.

The Pro 5.0 is the best. Take it from me, I have had mine for 6 years and NEVER missed a 2-3 shift! (100+ passes)

My second and 4th gear shift is fast but my 3rd is realy slow. It a pain because my runs are so inconsistant thanks to the stock shifter. Thanks guys. I think i am going to go with the pro 5.0, its a little cheaper than the tri-..
