What is the electronic box inside door? Remote Entry?

I'm currently replacing the doors on my car due to an accident. I was wondering what the electronic unit is below the door latch, thought it might be for the remote entry. If it is the remote entry do I need to swap in my old units for it to function properly?

Is it a black box that's mounted on the bottom left underneath the door panel that you're talking about? If so, I believe it is the unit that allows the one-touch down window to work.

I believe you can wire the one out of your old door to the other window switch and make them both one touch.

How do you do that? Ive been wanting to do it.

You would have to search for it. It's been a LONG time since I've looked it up. I know people do it when they have the remotes programmed to roll up their windows. They reverse the wiring so it's one touch to make them go up. One touch on the remote sends a signal and rolls your windows up. Pretty cool.

I would assume you hook up the second box the same way as the first one.

mine is one touch you press the buttom and the window falls down and stays down thats what the rope is for( one pull up) simple and cheap

It would be like poppin trunk on some elementary kids, except it would be called poppin windows.
