Just wondering. There is a local guy that is running 12.90 at 108mph on street radials tires. I believe this is the fastest 05 Mustang GT in the country on street tires and bolt-ons. I'm not a fan of the 05 but his car is pretty nice.

Come on guys. No one knows if anyone else is running these times on street tires. He will be getting slicks soon so hopefully 11's are in his future. That would be awesome with a bolt-on 05.

They should be able to match a 99-01 cobra with stock heads/cams but all other bolons. The 05 hooks so well stock I dont expect slicks to make a HUGE difference. I say he will pull a good 12.20 at best. And he can say bye bye to that rear end if its stock.

My best is 12.86@105 1.70-60'. I'll smack down that number once I get my car tuned after installing headers and 3" exhaust.

I'm pretty impressed by what some of the 05's are running at the track.

he should have no problem with his rear end at all the 8.8 is pretty tough, and for 05 they went to 31 spline axels

I already busted the diff in my car. The diff casing spread/cracked. The spider gear pin was spinning and has a groove in it. It was about to sheer off, had I made another run on it. The locking pin that keeps the spider pin from spinning was bent. The spider gears were worn bad as well. I've gone to a auburn pro diff and changed from 4.10's to 4.30's. I'm just waiting for dyno time and a custom tune.
