I have the same sound its around 2300rpm for me and also need to have the window down or be next to a wall to here it. I brought it to the dealer this past week and they said they didn't here anything and everything is tight under the car. I'm going to go back and take them for a test drive. The sound only happens under load. It won't do it if I rev in neutral. There is a TSB out for this issue. Its with the spacer plate connecting the transmission to the engine. TSB 08-02-10 is what the fix is or you can try fixing it yourself.

My bet would also be the plate between the engine and transmission.
I loosened the bottom bolts on the plate and put some foam pad (like you use between a truck cap and the bed, or foam insulation like you would stick on a door frame) between the plate and the bellhousing on the contact points. Tightened the bolts back down.....rattle gone.
How hard was that to do? I have been to lazy to do it and just been dealing with the problem.
Bradleyem-that is the fix. I used electrical rubber tape and the noise is gone. 2 plastic ramps and a 9/16 socket and ratchet and done. Wife doesn't know. I just had open heart surgery in March so it hurts to exert upper body but somethings you just can't let go.
That would have been a dealer trip if I didn't post here. You can't beat on anything under there and hear any noise. The bolts were NOT loose.

The junker sound is kaput.
If you are still having this noise, you may want to have it diagnosed at the dealer to make sure everything is functioning as intended. They would be in the best position to determine the cause. Please PM me your VIN, contact info, mileage, and dealer if you would like additional assistance.

I have this same EXACT sound on my car.
I tried the piece of foam between the plate and transmission but it didn't seem to work. Perhaps I need to use more of it.
I am 100% positive it's the same thing you guys are hearing, so it should have fixed it.
It worked for me. I folded the tape to get a x4 thickness. This stuff is like rubber. The sound is similar to cutting thru sheet metal with a circular saw. This fix worked for me so far. I wish they had a fix for the clunky drivetrain. Maybe I should wrap the D/S in this stuff.
You don't know how junky it sounds until u change your stock LCA/UCA arms to poly bushing arms. Can't imagine the noise with bearings.
Will an aluminum D/S help to get rid of some of that racket?

I preferred to attempt the fix myself before losing my car to the dealer for a day +. No harm no foul. If it didn't work I could remove it and then suffer the dealer.
