what is the plate that goes between the block and the trans called. i need one to go in between my C4 and 302. i had one for my 3 speed but some one told me i couldnt use it.

if that is what it is called summit nor jegs have them. someone also said it was a dust cover. mmmmm anyone else
ok i found out that it is a block plate! it is at summit.com and the part # is PMA-PA26445 . They are made from 0.060 in. thick steel and are gold iridited for durability. They work with automatic transmissions and fit both the 157-tooth and 164-tooth flexplates. The plates also feature special ventilation holes for better air circulation.
