Hey guys, new to the site, and mustangs, just bought an 01 GT with a few mods (flowmaster exhaust, cold air intake, sct livewire, 4.11 ratio (I think), and this thing pictured below. If any of you know what it is, please let me know what it does, how to use it, etc. As you can see, it's some sort of knob that you can adjust from 0-7. Haha, thanks a lot

They are 4.10's and not 4.11's if you think they are that high. Stock ratio is 3.27's. The piece that you are questioning is a selection piece for a chip. Assuming it still has the chip in place you can have up to 7 different tunes and change them on the fly rather than the handheld units that are more common place. The problem though is that you have no idea what each tune is meant for so you might think about getting the chip reburned to tunes you know instead of trying knobs and then risking something not being right. Is there any chance there was a power adder on the car that was taken off before you bought it, maybe like nitrous? I looked on the 2 sites I thought it would be on and they have since taken them off. What I explained is what it does though, allows you to switch from tune to tune as you want.

Agreed. That is a tune selector switch. I would recommend getting rid if of and buying a hand held, or talking to the previous owner and find out what each switch is for.

The supermarket gears are normally 4.10, 3.90, or 3.73.
