What is the chrome disk that is inline on my fuel line (feed) right next to the fuel rail? It is about 2" across and is shiney chrome, looks like a filter (a little one) on my 96 Cobra. Is it a check valve or some kind of regulator or is it a secondary filter? And I dont meen the FPR on the return line.

Not the FPR, I know what that is. This is inline on the fuel line feed.

It's a damper. Helps with a condition called "line hammer." If you are WOT and lift, you get a pressure pulse that can make a thumping noise. That damper is to prevent that noise and absorb some of the pulse to save other fittings from being stressed.

Very nice (imagine I said that with a Borat accent)

Thanks It was bugging the heck out of me, I usually can take one look at anything and figure out what it does and this thing is too small to be a filter so I was baffled!

So this work in conjunction with the PPRV? Or do only cobras have PPRVs?
