Also as someone else stated Im having some serious blow by that prob caused this to leak oil and PCV to pop off, huh? What causes blowby

as i'm sure you know, air comes into thru the intake into the cylinders, is compressed and ignited, and exits through the exhaust.

now consider the compression phase ...

there are rings around the pistons that are designed to allow the pistons to move up and down in the cylinder bore freely, but keep the compressed air on in the compression chamber (the top side of the piston). as you can imagine, the pressure in the compression chamber gets pretty high. as an engine ages, those rings eventually wear some, and that results in some of the compressed air leaking through the rings and getting on the other side of the piston, into the crankcase. this is called blow-by.

so now you have air (and fuel) from the pistons getting into the lower part of the engine. as a result, the pressure in there can build up if there is nothing in place to relieve it. enter the PCV. its job is to help relieve pressure in the crankcase by letting the vacuum from the engine draw crankcase air into the intake. if the PCV valve is stuck and does not open freely, the pressure in the crankcase can build up to the point where it pushes the PVC out. it can also cause leaks in other places like valve cover gaskets and intake seals.

i hope that helps answer your question

An old PCV grommet or an aftermarket PCV valve can also allow the PCV valve to pop out.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

The part in the picture in post number 9 is called the Crankcase Breather. It's a Purolator part number: B15231.

The part that the PCV valve slips into is called a PCV grommet.
