What is your dream car?

I agree on the bodywork thing,Some of the 60's cars are amazing to behold visually....a 69 mach1 for me has lines that equate to car sex.

Hell, when I had the stiffy for the 69 mach1 I bought as a kid, I carried around an old motor trend mag where they did a review of the 5 currently available pony cars in 1969. ( Article was called 5 car stud) They reviewed #1 69 mach 1(351); #2 69 Cougar (351); #3AMC Javelin (343); #4Pontiac Firebird Formula (350); and #5 a Camaro RS (350). The Camaro came in dead last in ride, stopping, and creature comfort. Yet to the Chevy boys, they obviously didn't care That there were no options available, or that it rode like sh it, and took the state of Kansas to get it to stop. It went fast, and it was a............. Camaro.

Are you still on the boat? Isn't it bedtime?

Yeah, still on the boat. Got another hour and a half on shift. Got to walk around Bergen today though. Tried smoked whale, not bad!

I come home April 5th then its roll cage time. Also going to do a golf cart with a ninja motor

My dream car has been, and always will be, a 60's model Mustang. My first car was a '69 Mach 1. Me and my dad picked her up for $1200, put a few new body panels on it and then had some money issues and sold her for $3000. That was 6 years ago. I can still see this car today, but with a $9000 price tag and nothing new done to it that me and my dad didn't do. I sadly lost all my pictures of it.
This is how I would have went with it, if I were still the owner.

Recognize though, there is a difference between a car that rides like crap and one that rides with character. Some of the most fun I've had in a vehicle was in a early 70's Triumph, a beat to hell Land Rover Defender and a 19-teens Model T. None of those cars had an even remotely acceptable ride, but that's part of what made the experience so awesome.

1st gen BB camaros ride like crap with stock suspension and such. There's an ad from '69 calling the camaro the "grabber". The only thing I grab is the seat - in fear that even though the wheel is turned, this boat might not make it around the corner.

I do understand the "character" aspect though. My buddy who owns the shop I built my car at has a 100% original '29 chevy sedan that makes me salivate eveytime I see it. That would fit the character bill to the T.

Yeah I know what you're saying too. I am referencing what people would expect after buying/and or restoring such a car against my experience. They get it, (either in the above condition, of restore it to there) and make that first few drives around to the local things w/o any problem. Then they make one big trip,.....alot of people will be sorry they traded "character" away for comfort, ergonomics, safety, and the "all around" performance they had in their non-dream car.

My 70 Dodge rides terrible (1.20" autocross bars), is loud, hot, slower then my GT/LX, and has a bench seat that holds onto my ass about as good as a park bench covered in Crisco. However it brings as big a smile to drive as my GT/LX does, its just a different experience.

Dream car (unreachable) Auto Union D-Type Silver Arrow, a more reachable dream car is a Nissan GT-R, Shelby GT500, or a Lotus Evora.

I have this picture saved to my phone lol. I uploaded it to my Facebook (and of course told them it was a build on a forum I was on) and all my car friends loved it. It's one awesome car!

I have a hard time coming up with a desire for an unobtainable car (maybe its my "im poor" realistic side) I WILL own a cobra in the next few years (hopefully when they stop being so cool) and a fox drag cars pretty high on the list but these are the ones I drift off about from time to time.

458 italia- assuming it wouldnt burst into flames and kill me
