I have a set of JBA new in box 1 1/2 shorties. They are the Stainless steel version. I was thinking about getting them ceramic coated, think it will be worth it? I mean it is supposed to keep the temps in the engine bay down correct? Does it lenthen the life of the header? And would it hold up to the elements any better than the stainless? And finally I would assume it's only coated on the out side as anything on the inside would get burned off correcto?

I agree.. get LT's. Regardless of what you do, make your mind up before you install them.. ESPECIALLY if you do LT's. My 5.0 has equals, and they look terrible because the guy who put them on didn't coat them. I put LT's on a dodge pickup and also didn't coat them first...

You can get the inside coated as well, but Jet Hot is the only company i know of that does both the inside and outside.
Correct. My Kooks are Jet Hot coated on both the inside and outside. Not only does having them coated reduce under hood temperatures, but it also holds the heat within the header itself instead of dissipating it into the air. A hotter exhaust will aid in it's scavenging effect, promoting better horsepower and torque. :nice:
