Ive seen on here a few times people asking what it will take to get low 13's high 12's out of their Stang. So Im bored and figured i'd do a little write up of what it took for my car.

1989 Mustang GT Full Weight

First if you have very little money ....

172,000mile Stock longb- Stock 5 speed - Cheap Street Kuhmo tires- Trickflow Street Intake manifold - 24# inj and cheap Mass air - 3.73 gears - BBK Headers- Xpipe - Flows- Eibach Pro kit lowering springs - 50 Shot of nitrous - 15 Deg timing

13.2 @ 109 MPH with a 2.0 60 Ft

now Lets say you blow a head gasket like me and decide to get rid of that tired thing.... BUT dont want to spend a fortune

Stock block with Girdle - Bored out to 306 - Stock Crank and Rods - SRP pistons - Strike force Aluminum heads 800 $$ new - 1.6 RR - and a F-cam ... with the same stuff ontop besides the nitrous.. 18 deg timing --- All motor

13.00 @ 108 mph w/1.874 60ft

Im in the process of changing my upper intake to Track heat to get a little more out of it....

hope this helps some newbs

I guess I am up next.. this was about 4 years ago...

9.0:1 306, Forged TRW pistons, Box Stock Edelbrock Performer heads, Out of the Box Cobra intake, Bullet 75 MAF, 24lb injectors, 1.5/8 shorties, 2.5 h pipe and Flowmaster Cat back.... Hmmm 3.73's and BFG 265/50 - 15's Not drag radials.. Car went a best of 12.802 @ 109 mph w/ 1.90 sixty foot and change with that combo at the spring break shootout in orlando in 2001... But ran consistent 13.0's @ 110 with 2.0 sixties, the same summer.. That was a long time ago though... I remember Debating with people on this site, about the differences between a 12 second street cars with AC and built motors, that trapped high mph on street tires, and 12 second cars on slicks and suspension that were running 12.80's @ 103-104 mph... thats back when the LS1's first came out, and were supposedly all the rage.. Lol
