What job would you like to have?

Well im going to be a High School Teacher. i start the program in the fall and will start student teaching in the spring. I am excited i really hope this is going to be a good fit for me.

^^^ cool, i'm probably gonna teach for a few years myself. gonna do middle school, though--perfect time for me to mold them into an anti-establishment militia!!

i'm a software developer. 22 years. i make $135K, funny thing is it's still not enough what with living in the DC area and having 2 kids in private school

He said that there was a messed up trailer with a lot for $250k. That's insane. I just found a semi new trailer with lot for $28k here. what does he do?

yeah, housing is ridiculous. my house in bethesda cost $920K, and it is not at all big (1800 Sq Ft). it is just the location. good thing my wife's parents sold their house and we sold ours (we moved in together) because we could never have been able to afford anything close otherwise.

private schools are crazy expensive too. my son's is $14K every year and my daughters is $12K. her high school is likely to be closer to $20K.

heck even utilities are high. my electricity bill last month was $500.

after the kids are out of school, then maybe i'll be able so spend some of my money on myself

My fraternity brother got the best job I've ever heard of. He got his master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering and works for ESPN. They fly him and another guy out to all of the major sports events that ESPN live broadcasts and the two of them go out to the mobile studio and make sure that there are no fire hazards.

He goes to every single major sporting event. Food is free, travel is free, hotels are free, and he pulls down 85K per year.

THAT is my dream job.

Information Technology.

Pays good, been doing it for several years, and I get to play (I mean test, fix, and use) with all kinds of new stuff. I finally became an IT Director last year overseeing my company's facilities all over the Southeast.

I love it. Pay is good, people are nice, and get lots of respect, because most people around me rely on my help to keep them going. I get to travel too to major cities and most evenings are free on trips, so that's way cool. As long as you're willing to keep learning, you'll never be bored in the IT field.

I'm starting college in the fall majoring in industrial design, and minoring in photography...I'm aiming to get a job designing hot rods, or custom cars for a designer, start my own custom shop, or work for a major auto manufacturer in their design department.
