What about the 5.0's in the trucks and vans? Same thing anyone know?

I dont THINK(not sure) trucks and vans were all roller motors, not real sure, maybe the newer ones?

Either hydraulic, roller-tappet or hydraulic, flat-tappet. Solid, flat-tappet cam and lifters haven't been OE since the late 60s. The older vans and trucks had flat-tappet cam and lifters. The newer (well after the Mustang) vans and trucks had roller cam and lifters.

The Mustang's H.O. 5.0L engine first got roller-tappet cam and lifters in the '85 model year (4V only - the CFI version still used the flat-tappet cam and lifters).

all production 5.0L Fomoco motors made after 1986 are roller cam blocks regardless of what application they were installed in.
