I am looking for some sugestions on what mods to do next.I want to get my car to the 13.50 range without changing intake, cam, heads, bore, stroke. I want to try and get it there on bolt ons.I have a 1990 GT 3300 lbs with dual flowmasters, mac cold air intake, rest is stock.
Well, it's not going to be easy, as the stock motor flows like crapola. Bolt ons that'd help would be: headers (1 5/8" shorty), an off road midpipe ( I reccomend a MAC ProChamber), 2 1/2" tailpipes, underdrive pullies, Pro 5.0 shifter (better gear changes on the track), 70mm throttle body, 76mm MAF, and sticky tires. One other thing helps: practice. Also, get some suspension mods first so you don't bend your frame, a nice set of subframes with seat brackets will help, as will a strut tower brace and some good springs. My BBK stuff has done me just fine.
But, best of all: GEARS! get a set of 3.73s and watch what happens. Goodbye gas mileage, hello neck snapping acceleration!
