What Muffler? yes this ? again

I had a similar setup. Catted Bassani X-pipe on 98 gt with flowmaster original 40's and the sound had to grow on me but to be honest it's not a good combination. So i recently switched back to my stock h-pipe with the same flowmasters and it's not as loud but the car sounds better especially on the bottom end range when shifting and just seems to have alot more power. So really the bassani catted x never really did for me with the flows. But i love the h-pipe with the flows. Hope this helps some

hornetsdad, i've got the same setup with the 40 deltas and bassani x-pipe but mine sounds nothing like that. I think its the cats but I'm not sure. I think I might try the super 44s and if that doesn't do it, then try magnapacks.

get some bassani mufflers

Since mexhaust has issues, got a quick revving clip in my sig of my stang with bassani catted x and welded in bassani mufflers (don't buy used unless you know it's background though). Also, in the link below I just edited a slow take off and stop in another clip using a dig camera for another take. Hope it gives you an idea on how it might differ from what you have.

just me but bassani x and flows don't go well together. its extremely raspy, and has a weird tinny hollow sound. you should use a straight thru design (slp, borla, magnaflow/packs) and it should give you the growl you want.

:nice: The Bassani Catted X will give your car a different tone not the muscle car tone most people like. I prefer the H-pipe sound but the Bassani X is a nice performance upgrade. I have Magnaflow muffs and I like that combo.

I'm already wanting to switch from these quiet ass magnaflows. The prochamber/magnaflow combo is way too quiet :( I don't want to go back with flowmasters, but yet borla/bassani costs entirely too much :rlaugh:
