what oil pan with a 347?

hey guys im looking on summit.com and im looking for an oil pan. well some of them say "not clearanced for a stoker" im guessing these are the stock style pans. do i need a bigger one for clearance issues? i was also going to see if my stock pan would clean up and work if it was in ok shape. is this something i can do? i have a 1966 stang and the motor going in it is a 1989 302 block now a 347. the 1966 pan i was told would work on the 1989 but i never tough about this clearance issue until i went to summit

dont get it, im using a stock chromed pan from my 289 on my 89' 349 stroker.Its fits fine over the girdle

I had to 'massage' my pan slightly to clear my stud girdle. No heartbreak, just a few mins with a mallet.

Obviously this isn't an option with an aluminum pan

i bought a chrome, deep sump pan on Ebay brand new for $93. Came with a pickup and drain plug too

Yea, I bought that same Ebay oil pan and had to "adjust" it to clear the girdle I have. The stroker kit shouldnt affect what pan you run unless I am not thinking this through.
