what paint for axles?

I saw a few guys clean up axles when they put them on. I wanted to clean them off a bit, maybe take a little rust off the ends, etc.

I was wondering what kind of paint would I need to paint with? Would a spray type paint work? What kind of primer for under it?

Sounds like a good question to me. I wanted to do the same thing, but mine was pretty pitted so I said the hell with it.
I guess that I could still spray it with a little Rustoleum or something.

i agree good question i plan on doing the same, i was planingon sandblasting it first to get the crap off of it, mine looks like a giant pice of rust. do they get hot? if so probly just engine paint would work.

I PAINTED MINE WITH PAINT MADE FOR A BARBECUE GRILL. I GOT AT K-MART IF I REMEMBER RIGHT. WOR KED OKAY.

I think that just about any good automotive paint (or engine paint for that matter) would work well.
