What other parts are needed to go along with the KB? I know MAF and Fuel pump and injectors? What size injectors and fuel pump etc. If anybody has any pic of their engin bay with a kb will you post it up?

Thanks Garrett

guess it depends on what your plan is....you don't need a fuel pump, injectors, etc., but more fuel is a good piece of mind. comes down to what you wanna do, if you pick one up that is supposed to make 6 psi (base kit), it'll come with everything from kb to bolt on and make that 6 psi safely and reliable,...swap pulleys to make 10 psi with no other changes, kiss the headgaskets goodbye, unless you made appropriate changes in other parts of the system, ie, getting more fuel in. there I'd recommend picking up some studs/nuts to replace some of the included hardware (hex bolts), as it will make it easier to install. boost/f.p. gauge are nice to have as well.

check out lasotaracing.com, in the tech section, real good, reliable KB info.
old pic enjoy...

for what its worth, mine makes 8 psi, and the only thing i've done is put in a 190 fuel pump, still got the fmu, 19 lbers etc, timing at 10....i have plans for the picking up all the good stuff but I'm not home enough to get around to it...haven't event driven my car in the last month.

maybe some more info on your intentions for a more accurate response ie. opinions on parts...good luck and have fun

It depends on how much Hp your looking for, but I would say some 42's a lightning Maf and a walbro 255 High Pressure intank FP. Buyfordracing.com used to have a pretty good deal on a 42# injector and LMAF package. Def get a chip and a custom dyno tune when you are finished. God Bless! Andrew

right now it is a stock motor so nothing too high. I hope to get about 315 to the wheels. Would my 24lb injectos work for now?

I am lost does the standard kit come with or without the bypass?

Would it be better to spend 300 more and get the blowzilla with the bypass?

I would upgrade to the blowzilla so that 1. You have room to grow 2. The bypass. 3 It is just better

ok i have heard that the kb's make alot of heat. What are you guys using to keep them cool?

I dont want to have any issues with hurtin the engine. Which i don't know how the blowzilla and flowzilla are but I know the older 1.5 and 1.7 had this problem.

Have you guys had any problems with them heating up the intake air?

Yeah, mine is in the fenderwell. About the heat issues, many people use water/ meth injection. I don't have any cooling mods, and I have no probs, just a real safe tune. There is two people I know that have made a custom intercooler to fit the KB's.
