Will a 33 gallon tank with a 6hp single stage pump be enough for a hplv gun to spray my car? Need lots of help on this one, gonna start on junk fenders and work my way up to painting my scraped up car.

should be plenty, I use a 4hp single piston 30 gal tank. No problems. I painted my wheels, hood, and around the engine. Works fine.

yeah you'll be fine thats the whole purpose of a hvlp. (high volume low pressure) using less air and getting more paint on the car instead of it turning into over spray. BTW where are you planning on sprayin it?

I'll be doing it in my garage, after I totally clean it out, put up plastic on the walls and ceiling, and an exhaust fan in the window.

The size of the tip will correspond to the amount of solids you are spraying.
For example, epoxy primer requires larger than basecoat, and basecoat larger than clearcoat. Clearcoats are around a 1.5 usually, and basecoats are normally 1.6-1.7. Check the technical bulletin for the paint you will be using. They also give air pressure at the cap, time to dry, recoat, tape etc.

Hey, no problem. I just finished welding my engine bay up and I basecoat/cleared with PPG. Anyother questions, I will try and help.
