400rwhp 66 coupe.

nitto 555Rs

9" 3.50 gears

lowered 1"

Caltracs

Shocks:
Rancho 2000
Edelbrock IAS
Edelbrock Shelby Gt3s
KYB

Which ones should I get and why? Id like a nice ride and something to give me a little better grip. Right now I think I have red ryder shocks or something like that. Any suggestions on OTHER shocks would be good. Id like to spend less than $115 a piece. I prefer non adjustable...i dont want to have to fine tune or have to keep getting under the car to do anything.

I have a 65 FB with similar RWHP numbers.

The KYB gas adjust shocks (an upgrade from the standard KYBs available from most mustang places) are a good bang for the buck. I get good overall performance and with the shelby underriders and 5 leafs I get no axle wrap with my Nitto 555 in 255 40 17 (not the r though, just the street tire, I plan on a set of the 555r for the spring drag season).

If you are running pure drag and no street though, I would recommned looking into a set of the fancy 90/10 drag shocks

I have the Edelbrock IAS shocks... I think they ride a bit stiff on city streets, but really seem to work well at highway speeds. I thought "Red Rider" was a BB Gun!

Maybe you should just buy my car...you seem to be looking for all the stuff I already have!

Take it easy Shane!
