What Shocks & Struts??

I will be getting Eibach Pro Kit springs installed soon. I also plan on changing out the stock shocks and struts. Just not right away.

Question is, would the shocks and struts from the Bullit or Mach 1 be a good selection? Both, the price and the positive ratings I have seen on this website steer me in their direction. I heard that the Mach's set is more for Drag and the Bullit is more for handling.

Are they set up to be used with lower springs like the Eibachs? Or will they give out earlier like the stock ones?

I think the stockers are absolute crap.

I got my new ones at AutoZone for $100 for all four, Gabriel SVTs. They are perfectly good IMHO.

It depends what you want to pay and what type of setup you're gunning for. I guess another thing to think about is will you live with a stiffer shock/strut setup?

Well, I would like a good ride quality. Not real stiff.
I guess, when I think about it, I would not mind paying a little more for a better set if there is one.

Bilstein is the best, from what I have heard, lifetime warranty, but its a little more pricey, you cant go wrong with them. I have the bullit suspension and I think the shocks and struts are tokico and I think they are the same as tokico blue anyways I really like them, for the price you pay for the whole kit its a good deal, best mod I have made to the car yet, it feel so much better than stock.

Don't know alot about the Gab's technology (valving/gas use) but they do make alot of OEM replacement shocks/struts. I wouldn't see a problem with them since they are basically copycats of stockers, even better if you did get SVT upgraded it is a firmer ride. They're fine for driving, but how does it feel for you?

Your shocks arent the same as the Tokico Blues....

i have KYB GR-2 struts and KYB Gas-A-Just shocks w/ FRPP c-springs. ride quality is great. a little stiff, but beats the crap out of the sloppy, mushy stock shocks/struts.

Bilstein HD's. Won't deteriorate due to heat, age or usage. Lasts for the lifetime of the car. Bilstein states that if the shocks/struts go out, there is a lifetime warranty for free replacements.

You get what you pay for IMO. If you are getting the Eibach kit why not get their shocks, just remember your shocks have to be able to handle the new spring rates and spring travel of what comes with your kit.

I installed MONROE SENSA TRAC shocks and struts. I'm very happy with the quality, cost was around $200.00 with a lifetime warranty.

I'm sure any shock/strut will handle the progressive rate of the eibach springs. You don't have to be picky, the pro kit is basic.
