Hey guys,
My question is does anyone know where I can get a Pro5.0 or a steeda short throw for a good price? I have found them both on ebay for $170(pro5.0) and $160(steeda). Is this a good price or can I do better?
Also what else should I get? Any ideas?? Thanks

The price seems about right. I think mine was $180 from Central Florida Motorsports. Check out the classifides, you should be able to find a used one thats still in good condition for a lot less.

Heya...Try All Mustang Performance...they're local here in Phoenix. Their shop's right up the road from ours. BTW...I tried both the steeda and the pro 5.0, and the pro 5.0 is the better of the two. It's got a better feel and looks beefier and more well made side by side imo.

Might have to give Tom a call at AMP and see what deal he could spring.

I have to say, after reading the reviews I was sold on Steeda's. But........

I would be more interested in switching to the 5.0. I'm not really impressed with the Steeda shifter at all.

Sounds good. Any more opinions guys? What would be the best mod(s) for around $300?

You should get a pair of 94-95 specific valve covers like these!! :rlaugh:

If I had $300 to spend and already had gears, I'd probably pick 2 of the following mods that I thought would benefit me most:

Pro 5.0
Subframe connectors
Lower control arms
Aluminum driveshaft

Or if you're having traction problems when launching, you could always snag a pair of Nitto DR's...

labor will run you a couple hundred at least for gear install. Get the shifter, some under drive pullies. Thoes should be a good start until you get some more money to buy other things.

Ok sounds good, UD pullies? Can you tell me if those hinder performance? I have heard both, that they are a waste of money and you actually loose a little power. I have also heard that they are well worth the money and add fair amounts of power... Im confused

They do add power to your car. Say you replace your power steering pulley with the UD one, your PS pump wont work AS good as it did because its using less of your cars power. Same for your altinator and everything else you switch out. Some people have problems with charging problems when they change the alt. pulley, others dont. It basically makes it where your car doesnt use as much power to spin the pullies on the car.

From what I've heard. I've had no personal experience with them yet, but everyone I've talked to says you can feel the power difference. Look for some used ones on ebay. Should be able to find a set for around $75

I just put some pulleys on my car. ASP aluminums. only thing i am going to change is replacing the underdrive pulley on the alternator with an overdrive pulley i just powdercoated. i could feel the difference.
