AnyBody Willing to take a GUESS. :hail2:

What are your long term goals for your car. If it is gonna be a daily driver that has to pass emissions, then forget about cams. From what I've been told when I was looking at this mod, you won't be able to get your car inspected after you install them.

That's why I went with the power adder route. I passed inspection earlier this month

comp 278s with a fox lake stage 2 port will pass emissions (even in CA). don't even worry about it.

when you get your car set up, i'd love to see your numbers, except for the trickflow intake, your setup is the same as mine (except for the stroker). i'd be nice to compare.

Frosty... i was also looking into this combo at one time. i was told that w/ the 278s you have that they would be good for a supercharger and the reason is that thay have more duration on the exhaust side than the intake if you look at a true N/A cam you will see that that is reversed so i think you should be ok with a supercharger. hope thsi helps.

Just curious, but how do you know this combo will pass in CA? I would think that there would be no way in hell that you could pass smog here with that setup. Im not even sure if you could tune the car to pass with those cams. Isnt one of things they check durring the test idle speed? Car wont idle at stock rpm with those sticks. From my research you can pass with the heads, but not the cams. I am thinking of just swapping out the cams every two years for smog testing, and then reinstalling them after the test.

Yeah johnnyvista your right im not even worried about getting it to pass emission's i have certain people that can do it for me. :nice: Hey Johnnyvista what did you run in a 1/4 with all the stuff done to yours. How much do you think my car should pick up by doing all of this.Programmer,Heads and Cam's? I don't know what i have RWHP but it's enough to get me real low 13's almost a high 12 in a 1/4.The Cam's im putting in are some Big Daddy Cam's (Rough Idle). I just love to hear a car Lope Hard
