I have been told that I need a smaller sized radiator if I do the FMIC switch, So what size would I need and where would be the best place to get one? Also since I have an 86' I want an aluminum radiator.

I went with a 92 Ford Ranger 4.0L radiator. Bought it new for 120. its 18" by 18" core or something like that i believe. But it fits great with the Volvo FMIC... I'll take some pics and better measurments tomm if you want. I havent mounted my fan yet so you can see it pretty good.

heres a pic of it as it is now... I still have to mount the fan and connect the intercooler...

Looks good. What did you use for brackets to hold the Volvo IC and the Ranger radiator in place?

for the top i used pieces of stainless steel that I bent to fit and used the existing holes the old radiator brakets skrewed into. They attached to the radiator and the radiator holds the top of the intercooler in place.

for the bottom I used the rubber mounts that the old radiator rested on combined with angle brackets to hold the intercooler in place. for the radiator it had a plastic peg out the bottom so I drilled a hold in the lower radiator hose support plastic piece and put the peg into that so it rest there.

holds real good. basically you just have to rig something up though. every persons setup will probably be different.
