I heard the 03/04 Cobras come with 275 size tires around the 4 corners. I was looking to get 275 for my 01 gt. I wanted 17 x 10.5 in the back, but i called up numerous online places, tire direct, tire rack, etc, and they said a 275 will not fit anything above a 17 x 9.5, which is really pushing it. Is this true, and that the only way i can throw 17x 10.5 on the back is going wit 315. Is this true?

do you know any good websites that sell that size tires at a good price, and how do you like the look of 17x9, is is wide enough to make people take a double look?

Right now I have the stock 17x8 bullits on my car. I like the 17x9s personally and believe that that is what i will get when I upgrade (steeda ultralite IIs). I don't believe anyone will take a second look at them though. They won't make as big of a visual statement as 315s on 10.5 deep dishes but they will be a hell of a lot lighter.

Dumb question....what are quad shocks and why do you have to remove them to have 10.5's on the back?

I have 03 Cobra wheels and the 275s look awesome! Personally I think the 275 up front look awesome! Cause they stick out just enough that look really intense. That's my $.02.

275s fill the front fender well perfectly IMO. 315s look the bestin the rear, though 275 certainly beats the too skinny (IMO) stocker 245s. However, I wouldn't try putting anything more narrow than a 285 on a 17x10.5 rim.

I got 2 17/9 and 2 17/10.5 cobra wheels and a pair of 275 tires to go out back, the front 245 were still good. the tires on the10.5 did fit, but looked like crap because the wheel stuck out. the 245 on the 17/9 is a bit narow but doesnt look all that bad. so i did not get the 10.5! instead i put 17/9 with the 275 and it looks prettygood

You don't want to get wider than 275 on a 9 inch rim. Your next step in width would be 285s on a 9.5 rim, might I recommend the 2000 Cobra R rims? (18x9.5).

I just put 03 Cobra wheels on my car. I kept my stock 245 tires until they're worn out and you can definately tell the rims are wider so I assume that you'll notice the increase in tire width when you go to the 275.
