Like the topic says, what thread size is the shifter/shifter handle? The reason being is I plan on turning one in machining class so I can say I have a truly custom one. I'll probably CNC it so it'll be perfect, and if anyone else wanted one it wouldn't be tedious to make. I was probably going to make it out of aluminum but I'm not sure. I figured a different metal like a brass or something would be unique. Undecided though. Only thing is I wish i could mill a shift pattern in the top of it, but hopefully that will happen next semester.

I took my shifter handle to home depot, and compared till I found exactly right, I made my own as well, just gave it toa friend for his car actually. Here is what I made. I took a bolt that had the same threads as the handle, drilled cross holes in the body of the handle which was 1/4 inch steel square stock that was 1 inch by inch I believe, and welded the bolt to the holes and filled the holes with welds, cut it to the angle I wanted and welded the two stock peices together and viola, a custom handle, bout 5/8 the size of my tri ax!

Yeah a knob. I might mill my own handle too though next semester when we start that since a longer handle that would fit me better would be sweet. A billet handle would be tough as nails too lo.
