My 351 is now a 383. I use a 90mm Throttle Body and a SCT 90mm MAF. If using forced induction i hear you can get away with smaller. But i went from a 75mm to a 90mm and the biggest difference is throttle response. It also depends on the heads and what your power goals are.

Any reason you went with a 383 instead of 408??

Has a awesome rod ratio.....Great for revs. Very fast reving motor with the right heads. So when i finally decide to turbo it that will make the car spool that much quicker. Alot of people say they want cubes over revs....i went the rev. route. 6.25 Chevy rods 8.75 Crank. Came as a kit.

you have the 75mm so keep it. that trickflow intake should fit a 90mm i believe.

They make the 75MM opening and 90MM opening for the Trick Flow, at least on the R version anyway.

Unless you want to make the absolute most HP you can, the 75mm will be fine.

If the intake opening is only 75mm and you put on the 90mm, you will still flow only 75mm.

Even if the opening is 90mm, the 75mm will still flow a good amount of air.

Okay so i will stick with the 75mm for now.

So What MAF sensors do you guys use? The PRO-M was the hot ticket 15 years ago when i use to race.

I have a SCT with a 4 wire adapter.....I may go pro-m in the future for ease of tuning. You can tell them what you're running and they can specifically calibrate your MAF for your setup......this can save a couple of hours when tuning time comes. The SCT i have is for the 6 pin lightnings and cobras. It has a different voltage output.....and can be tuned to work with the older 4 wire computers. But then again tuning and more tuning and the possibility of it never being "just right". I haven't tried pro-m but i think i may in the future.

How exactly are you going to put a 90mm TB on a 75mm opening?

It still bolts up, no matter the diameter.

I figured there would be some contact from the 90mm blade to the 75mm spacer or what have you but there isn't. Still who is dumb enough to put a 90mm TB on a 75mm opening? Just have the intake opening ported to a 90mm.

90mm TB and a 90mm Lightning or bigger MAF would be ideal...
