I switched to 8.8mm Accell (ACC-8854 I think they were about $60-70 from Summit), they were great, but the spark plug boots were huge and even with slip on fiberglass booties, they kept burning through from my headers. They would probably be fine though if you didn't have headers, but I am not sure.
I finally went with Black Accell 300+ 8.8mm Race Wires (ACC-7054 About $80 from Summit) and they are by far the best wires I have had on any car. They have smaller angled boots, specifically for cars with headers, than the regular Accell 8.8mm wires so there was no problem with them burning up. I also experienced a huge jump in throttle response and acceleration, especially at the higher RPMs.
Anyway, I highly recommend them, and they look pimp!
