what springs to lower a '65 6 Cyl 2+2?

Hi! all the parts places list springs to lower your V8 Mustang but not the 6 Cyl. For the front are you supposed to use the same 620 rate 1 inch drop springs that a V8 car would use? For the rear, are the mid-eye 1 inch drops listed for V8s the same you would use for a 6? Thanks!

I bought some front coils front NPD, they are listed in their catalog as 440# 1" drop springs. They are great springs for a six car.

On the car in the signature, I cut the stock springs up front. With a 1" lowering on the UCAs, I ended at 1.5" lower up front.
The rear springs are stock and at stock ride height.
Not only is a 6 cylinder car lighter, but it has much less unsprung weight, so it doesn't take a lot of spring.

I bought some springs through the forum here that I believed were for my 68 coupe, but they are not, they were too low. I have a 302. So I ordered 620's w/ 1" lowering online. When I compared the two they were the same height, but the 620's were thicker. I think I have some lowering springs for a 65-66. I also bought the 1" poly spacers too. If you want then I will sell you the springs and spacers for $65 shipped...

I agree for a 6 cylinder car you don't want the higher number 1 inch lowering springs since it will be too stiff. So you don't want the 600 or 620 etc.

What 65Fast said is probably a good setup. I don't know what nugget68 has, but it might be worth looking into.
