What Stall Converter

You did not say how the car will be driven, nor ID the tranny. I am assuming a typical 90% street 10% strip and C4 here....

I think your cam may be a bit on the mild side for that intake, not that it wont work but they don't seem like a good match to me unless you've got over .555 lift or something. The 408W is going to have loads of torque down low to compensate for the Victor intake which usually doesn't promote low end torque.

If it were me I'd look into the 2800-3200 for that motor, get an AOD with 3.89-4.11 gears or a C4 with 3.70-3.89. That assumes 24.5-26 inch tire/wheels and that the car will see more street driving than strip. If this is just a race car gear yourself to be near redline in 3rd gear at the finish line.

The 3200-3600 is a bit high for some tastes for a street driven car. I know guys who run in in their daily drivers with no problems though. If you buy a high end converter they'll usually allow you to have it re-stalled ONCE, so that argues starting lower and you can always bump it up ~500 or so later if you desire.

you don't have a lot of choices with the fmx, i think TCI has a couple different ones in the 2400-2800 range, i would go with abot a 3.70-3.89 with an fmx and that range of stall, i would also recommend going with the stealth, you'll get better low end with it especially since you are limited in what convertors you can get
