What stock '66 style motor mount (2 to chose from)

So I have to order stock motor mounts because my new prothane ones from Summit aren't working with my headers. I got to looking in NPD's catalog and they have two different mounts for 1966. One style says "65-66 (b4 11/1/65)" and the other says "66-72 (from 11/1/65)"

The 65-66 mounts say there is a LH and a RH while the 66-72 mounts say there are "2 required". So which ones do I need? I just need these mounts to lift my engine higher because my header is hitting the shock tower.

the early mount are differnt from side to side and sit the engine lower than the later mounts. They also have their own frame mount brakets. the early mount has a stud that sits down in the frame mount and held down with a lock nut and washer, the later mounts use a long bolt that is installed from the front or back after the mount is sat down in the frame bracket and is held in by a lock nut, they have open slots for the bolt to slide thru and are the same left or right.. Most headers require the later mounts for the best fit but alot of the aftermarket mounts cause header clearance problems, tcp comes to mind.

This may or may not help with your clearance problems, some header fit tight and others dont, some cars have leaning shocktowers or have been repaired after a front end collision that could cause clearnace problems. My old super comps held the engine off the mounts but clearanced them selves after a few hard runs....

1966 brackets and motor mounts look entirely different.

oh yea, forgot about the L bracket for the early mounts. when buying replacemnets I just ask for 64 falcon mounts, takes out the guessing.

alrighty, I ordered the later mounts. I forgot about the sagging shock towers. I have a montecarlo bar that I could install. Maybe that will give me enough room so it wont rub. I think I'll try that first. Thanks!
