I used CHP once, NEVER again. The customer service was ABYSMAL , and that is the good news. The parts were even worse. Ended up having to use completely different components than what they provided. The rods were not machinable right out of the box they were that bad. The pistons hit the crank counter weights among other items of disappointment.
With that being said, and your experience may be different, I used SCAT crank and rods for the stroker kit in my car along with ROSS pistons. Could not be happier. Machine shop had ZERO issues with the SCAT rotating assembly. If I were you, I would trust what your machine shop says or recommends as they have probably had more experience with various venders and know the good ones. That was my mistake, I did not heed the advice of my machine shop and ended up paying the price.

I bought my 331 was CHP; Although, I used a Scat kit that they carried, not one of theirs. +1 on the Scat quality, very pleased with it. Also, +1 on the poor customer service. I was sent the wrong bearings, then told that they were out of the ones I paid extra for, and that the packaging guys probably just put what they had in stock in my order box. Then I bought one of their "Probe" billet flywheels and had a horrible time with it. Took me almost a month to get it returned. The bearings they fixed right away, I actually had the correct ones in 3 days. I will say that Probe (owned by CHP) makes some great pistons, just not that thrilled with their customer service. Alot of guys like Eagle stuff as well. My brothernlaw runs Eagle crank and rods in his 602RWHP stroker, no complaints from him.
