brahma! a buddy of mine has one in an integra with a rf 1501bd (think thats the right amp, i know its rf and big!) and it sounds ridiculous. im not into the wake up the dead type bass/loud music, but man if your looking for really loud bass, get the brahma. ive never heard the other ones you listed. before his current set up, he had 2 alpine type r 10's with a jbl 600.1. the brahma sounds better then the type r's when at enjoyable (to me) levels. loudness is NO comparison. hope this helps

Ya that was the one I was actually looking into getting. The other 2 have just recently come up in my research, I was just trying to see if anyone has ever heard them before.... Guess not though.

Brahma, or maybe an Elemental A Series. The DD's are nice, but they require a MUCH larger enclosure than the others to sound good.

ok well people who have heard the brama... question for you,

ive got a kicker L7 (the new one) and that mother SLAMS... how is the brama compared to it (im assuming better but how much better.... like way better or just a little) because in a few months im going to either get a new sub that will hit harder (im all about the bass ) or getting another L7 and slap some more power to em...

lemme know what your input is

Out of those three I like the Resonant Engineering for reproduction quality but the brahma is BY FAR the best for absolute trunk-thumping power

What are your planning to do with the sub? Are you looking for all out sound quality, SPL, or a mixture. Out of the 3, you really can't go wrong with any of them. But my personal choices would be:

1. Brahma
2. RE XXX
3. DD

eD is not a bad choice either, but, well, I won't say anything.

AS for the L7 issue, if you're happy with it, leave it alone. Each driver will perform differently in each application, so it's nearly impossible to say one is going to sound better than the other, or be louder. I've seen 8" drivers do 150+ dBs on the new mics, so it's not all about the transducer itself.

Thanks for the input guys. I just purchased a Brahma 12". Im going to see how it sounds on my JL 500/1 amp, and If it doesnt act as I like, I will probably sell it and get something with a little more power like that RF1501bd like someone said earlier. Adire Audio's site says you dont need full 1600 watts for this sub to sound good. They said even a 3-400 watt amp would be good for it. But we will see.

If you're lucky enough to get them without having to wait 6-8 months, they're some of the best performing things going. Oh, yeah. I forgot I had that ED avatar. Been like that for a while- time to change as I'm not even running any Elementals currently.

Yeah, but why have all that sub and not have the amp to back it up...if I were you I'd go out and get a better amp...if you like JL their 1000/1 is a pretty good match for the brahma...or you could go with the Rockford and be like every one else...your choice

Cool...we will see what happens... I wanted to also say to Infinity02zinc that I actually got the sub from a guy off ebay (cartronixs). Come to find out he is an actual dealer of the Adire Audio products and his company is even listed on adire audios website in Arizona, and he sent the sub out on friday. I have it tracked via UPS and it will be here Thursday of this week. WOOT!

Even though you you have already bought one, so it doesn't matter anymore, all of those subs you mention are excellent.

Both the RE XXX and the Adire Brahma are very similar subs, they are almost identical. They are both made by Destijl Engineering (the parent company of RE) using technologies developed by both of the companies. Each one has slight differences in their specs, depending on what the company wanted, but they are basically the same design.

No...I'm saying I'm not interested in dating the same girl that every one else has used.
