I am in the process of gathering parts for a aod - t5 swap. I have a tranny that needs to be rebuilt. It grinds from first to second i was told and eveything else is ok. I was wondering what rebuild kit to buy. There is a master and regular im guessing. I see both on ebay and ddperformance has one for 150 so im guessing its a master. Which do i need? Should i tear it down first to find out? Im gonna get the video b4 i start tearing it apart tho thanks

The trans in my '93 LX was doing the same thing because of the 2nd gear syncro.

I got a core form a buddy and sent it to Liberty for them to build up for me. I took about a month, but it is much stronger than any other T-5 out there and only cost me $681.00 shipped.

Check them out! :nice:

Do it yourself man. Its fun and you learn alot. If you have a good video its not hard at all. You need some special tools but its not bad. I got the D&D rebuild kit for my tranny and it has all you need as long as you dont need any new gears or sliders.

The url is actually www.libertysgears.com

How much TQ can Liberty's gearset handle? I want to stick with the T-5, but the M-7003-Z's 330 ft./lbs. rating is a bit too small. Perhaps the Liberty's will suffice, I'm looking for at least 375 ft./lbs. Is there any other kits out there that will provide that level? I know of the G-Force, but that's more than I need, and costs more as well.
