What temp thermostat?

What temp. thermostat is usually recommended for a 5.0? I'm changing mine and am not sure whether to go with a 180 or the factory 192.

go with the 180. it's the 'ideal' running temp for our motors.

Either one will work

It is nice to have a nice flowing/capacity radiator and good flowing fan.

Both work good, but if you plan on using underdrive pulley's, the 180 will be of the better.

It's better to look at your target temp than what stat you'll use. Some guys with a 192/195 stat run at 200* and some with a 180* stat run at 200*. If the system is lacking, the cooler stat can act as a band-aid. 190-210*F is optimal coolant temps.
Whatever you choose, I'd highly recommend using a balanced t-stat.

Following JT's sound advice, an example of a balanced thermostat would be a Mr. Gasket.
