Ok, I had my fenders off to do a little body work and found a few things I have no idea what they are...any ideas? These are all on the pass. side. The top one is also on the drivers side and has a wire going to it.

Not really important, I just thought I'd ask for future reference....might as well know

thanks

the top one is a snail. have you been off roading lately?

didnt you say the top one (horn) has a twin on the driver's side? that would be the second horn (or back up, as you called it).

the ball looks like a vac cannister, as said. most cars have one to store vac (it has a check valve on it). i dont know if that is it, but most cars have one and i have not seen one anywhere else that i can remember.

have fun.

Most American cars do have 2 horns and they have had 2 for a long time. If you want to hear what a car with 1 horn sounds like listen to a ricer car. I think American cars have 2 horns simply because it sounds better than 1. The horns are tuned to 2 different frequencies that are in harmony with one another.

He's right, one is a low tone horn and one is a high tone, together they make a loud tone common for north american cars.

Definitely the vacuum canister and the horn. I just removed both horns and mounted my radiator overflow behind the fender using the same screw holes. Worked great, lol.

Well that must be why my horn sounds so weeny...only one of them is hooked up! (no wires or anything going to the one on the pass. side) Wish I woulda known that before I put the pass. side fender back on...maybe later I'll look into that. Thanks guys
