also what plugs are you guys using w/ 100 shot? and are you using race gas or like 104 or 103 octane?

Is your 100 shot wet or dry? My answer depends partially on what kit you are using. If it is an NX Wet kit, I would say probably 2 degrees retard. That would put your advance at 8 degrees. Stock is 10. If it is a dry kit, 1 degree should be enough as most of these put down about 80 rwhp. If you get detonation, then retard some more.

The text book, safe answer I believe is 1 degree for every 50 shot added.

Plugs? Use copper and gap at 35. Smaller gap prevents the juice from blowing out the spark. As far as heat range, you could use one step colder or even two steps colder. If you live in a winter climate, you may have some problems starting the car if the plugs are two heat range colder. Problem with nitrous and choosing plugs is that you need a colder plug for the juice, but not when running n/a. If the plugs are too cold, they will foul. One step colder should not pose any more problems then perhaps a little rough start when cold.

With plugs, the text book answer is one heat range for every 50 shot.

I have a 100 shot dry, retard timing by one, and use one heat range colder. Autolite 103 is my plug of choice.

And of course, be sure to read them especially when starting out and increasing the juice.

I have used stock plugs with stock timing, with 100 octane race fuel with no problems on a 100 shot NX(wet).I now have 150 shot with colder plugs and stock timing also, with no problems but have only ran it once(not at track yet with 150 shot)

Remember the whole point is to prevent detonation! You can do this by retarding timing, adding colder plugs, and increasing octane. The more you do with one, the less you need to do with the other. If you want to be safe, retard timing, add colder plugs, and run 93 octane. $12.00 for colder plugs will go a long way then paying for 100 octane fuel in my opinion.

I'm running 10* (stock timing) on 100shot NX WET, no problems detonation is none existing. But their always chances of getting detonation. Since you are begining with N20 you should start with a smaller shot and follow the instructions. Add colder plugs (mine are autolites 103s) nothing platium regular copper, retartd (75shot) 1*-2* off (total timing of 9*-8*) with the 100 you definately want to back off 2* degrees. Always run premium. And remember that a wet system takes fuel into your plastic intake manifold (backfires will destroy it).

I just saw that you have a custom tune, you will either need to have it reburn or installed a timming adjuster (cheap solution) A dyno tune will extract most of the hp your N20 system can make. Ah a good thing with NX is the torque, some people have seen up to 510rwtq. I'm get to dyno mine car, will do before swaping my NX for the Noszle.

I am running -2 global. Some say it is overkill, but I'll take that ten horsepower as one more safeguard from claustrophobic rods...

I am running Autolite 103s like the other guys, it's a good, cheap plug. They come gapped at .035, but always check them to make sure.

Also, check your a/f with a good wideband before you put even a bottle through the system. In most cases you will be too rich. Shoot for 11.7-9.

With the timing backed off 2 degrees, the colder plugs and a good a/f (11.7) you can run 93 octane all day long.

Good luck and have fun with it..:)
