I've got the motor tore down in my car. Sure enough my bearings were bad in it. So, I'm going to be getting new bearings, rings, gaskets, springs, motor mounts, and a timing chain. After talking with someone tonight I'm curious as to whether I should go ahead and install a cam or not. Before everyone says "do it", my car has a speed density setup, limiting my options. I'm thinking an E303 cam or a B303 cam for the stock heads that will be handported. I might be able to get a good hookup with a TFS Stage 1. My problem is that I'll probably need a mass air conversion. Is there any way to do this in a cheap manner? I also need input from anyone whose installed a cam on a speed density mustang. I

I dont know if the TFS stage 1 is to large or not,but I would say the B303 with 1.6/1.7 rocker (intake/exhaust respectivly) would work well.

Anyone ran either of these cams with speed density? I was told that I could just drill a hole in the throttle body to make it idle alright. They said just keep going one bit size bigger until it would idle OK.

I've heard of this, but I consider it a band-aid and a bad idea. Once you drill you can't go back... Better be sure it'll make it run the way you like and that you don't plan to change it again.

you have to be careful with cams and speed density. vacuum is a sensitive area with your car. any chance you could upgrade to a MAF?

Yeah, but I'm afraid of messing something up. I'm going to pick up an A9L and harness for $50. I just don't want to be on a hunt for a VSS. Also, where is the stock computer and what do I have to go through to get everything running.
