i know there is alot of debate out there between the 4.10s, 3.90s, and 3.73.
I dont want to go with 3.90s cuz for doesnt make them, but im pretty sure im going to go with 4.10s.

I have a 2002 GT , and was wondering what kind of increase off the line i am going to expect if i add 4.10's. Right now i only have exhaust.

thanks.

the 1st stang i had 4.10's put in, they dropped my times by 3 tenths on the very first run down the strip. & here's teh 2 kickers........it was an 1/8th mile track, & it was also a non-pi 98gt :nice:

*disclaimer* individual results may vary. if you install 4.10's & don't improve on your time, don't come on here & @#$^%........... learn to drive better :)

it is going to feel like a 50hp shot of NOS. but that is all SOTP feel. you are going to realize an actual gain of anywhere from .2-.4 tenths off your 1320 and start seeing the beginnings of respectable 60' times. the reason that these gears (the 4.10's and 4.30's) are good for our cars is because when you cross the finish line you are in 3rd at about 5400-5600 rpm which puts you smack at hopefully the height of your powerband. (well, most peoples cars anyway)

This is the reason that racers swap out gears, match tranny gearing and all that so they can be able to get their car from A to B and have it be screaming across the finish line at optimal performance.

I'm sure you meant 4th gear and not 3rd.
